We made it to Rome including a layover in Hong Kong. We have a beautiful apartment in Travestevere - walking distance to Colosseo, Basilica di Santa Maria, Spainish steps and the Vatican. It is such a beautiful city - I was here with Kiki (mother) and my sister in mid 80's when it had snowed for the 1st time in 20 years and Dave was here in 2005 so this visit will be wonderful to see it together. Our 1st day was just walking around to get our bearings, bit dazed and out of it after the flights but after a great sleep and wonderful spaghetti meal & red wine we are feeling more human.
