Breakfast in the hotel, didn't really get our money's worth though, even though it is included. Today we do Colosseum, huge (kept humming that Paul Kelly song), then Palantine (or part of it, it's mega huge) and Forum. Then lunch - rude fat front of house literally throws the food and drinks at us and whilst the food was tasty, was a rip off, avoid the tourist strips from now on! Then Trevi and Spanish Steps. Nice little bar over the steps, but full of poms, Rome is full of poms, yanks (loud) and germans (try not to mention the war). Dinner at a local family run business recommended by the hotel is good. Ravioli in sage butter + oxtail for me, bacon and pecorini rigatoni + saltambucca for her. Washed down with a nice 50 euro bottle of Brunello. Then over to Pepe's on the Bernini square where we'd had our opizza the night before, for a night cap. Sat in the window for a spot of people watching.
