Finally got to a computer Road to Rome
There's not much to write in this entry as we spent the majority of the day driving.
I really liked the scenery coming into Rome. Heaps of wineries and fields full of crops. I always imagined Italy in general to be really dry as that's all I ever saw in pictures, but this really changed my idea of it.
Bus Crash
When we were nearly in Rome, the bus crashed into a car. It nearly swerved into the center barrier. I was in the second row and saw it all happen.
Basically we were driving behind a slow car Rocket was about to change lanes (he had been indicating for awhile) and a car in the other lane sped up blocking us and we went crashed into the car in front of us. The guy who blocked us didn't even stop that fucking prick.
The bus smashed the cars entire back window and dented the back of the car. No damage to the bus besides a few scratches and no-one hurt.
The people in front were ok, but the lady went off in an ambulance (I think
she it was only shock/whiplash related as she could still walk).
This held us up for a good 2 hours or so which unfortunately effected our time in Rome.
Rome
Rome's really busy. So many fucking tourists. There are millions of statues and lots of fresh water places to fill your drink bottle up or splash water on your face. Whatever tickles your fancy. The weather was significantly cooler then Venice, which was surprising, but it was still fucking hot.
We went to Santa Maria Concezione (The Cappucin Monks). This was a crypt with the remains of deceased friars with their bones arranged into wicked patterns and figures. It was really cool. One stupid thing was we had to pay a minimum donation of 1 Euro to get in. Sure it wasn't much, but it really defeated the purpose of a donation.
After that we walked through to Trevi fountain which was supposed to be a really sacred fountain. People would go there and throw coins over their shoulders and make wishes. I only had Euros on me, so I decided not to participate as I would've thrown $6 into a fountain, which, well, didn't seem
like the best idea.
We then went and had a look at the Pantheon. Unfortunately it was closed. While I was taking photos, there was a Roman guy who came running towards me (probably because I took a photo of him) jabbed his sword into my stomach and stared reading my shirt out loud (Propagandhi - Purina Hall of Fame). He then made eating motions in front of me, I said "Si" we laughed and walked off.
We then walked down to Piazza Novona where we broke up into groups and went for dinner. We went to a place called "Poule & Parione." Meal was fucking awesome. The best meal I've eaten on tour this far. The guy was real cool and the price was good. Would totally recommend it for anyone who goes to Rome.
As today was a long day, we didn't have much planned for the Rep at the campsite, so, whenever the rep said anything like "Receptions on your right" the entire bus would cheer and get over enthusiastic. I made comments like "YAY You can ask questions there!"
It was funny at the time so piss off.
The campsite was decent,
million times better then Venice.
That's me for today. More time in Rome tomorrow!

they say if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain it means some time in your life you will return to rome or something. sucks about the pantheon. that was my favourite. I'm obsessed with that building! Heaps of cute little stalls down the road on the left (if your standing directly infront of the pantheon) theyre all nicknacky and reaaaly italian haha
