Well Andy had to do some major convincing to get me to leave the island! We spent the last couple days swimming in the Med and enjoying some super Aegean sun. (We are not too burnt surprisingly!) It was hard to leave a place where relaxation came so easy and people watching was at an ultimate high (imagine old Greek men changing their speedos and hanging them out to dry each time they came out of the sea... I think they each bring about 5 speedos). We definitely got used to life on the beach and enjoyed some great Greek cuisine (Andy even tried the swordfish and didnt get sick!). Yesterday I decided that I needed to take advantage of the beach massages (after that seven hour 4 wheeler ride I figured it was justified) so I got a 45 minute massage on the beach under a grass hut ... another dream of mine checked off! We did not want to leave, but loved every minute of our time there!

So the consolation prize for having to leave paradise was... arriving in Rome! We flew out this morning and got here by noon. If we thought it was hot on the island ... Rome was hotter. It reached 102 degrees today and we spent a lot of it walking around Rome! But, there is nothing that will cool you down better than a nice Gelati ice cream 😊! We walked to some of the nearby sights like the Trevi fountian (threw a coin in, so now we will return to Roma), the Pantheon and the Plaza novena and just enjoyed walking around the city! Then around 4:30 was time for the main event . . . the Roman Collesium! For Andy this was his second trip and a redemtion tour after having all of his pics and videos stolen in 2002. We got into the Collesium, wandered, took a LOT of pics and videos and Andy reinacted a scene from Gladiator and also did 1 full lap jogging around the inside of the Collesium (there is a video of that which is pretty hillarious). All in all it was amazing to be around the Collesium and I have kind of forgotten about that island (haha)! Then tonight we went out to eat and had a some real Italian cuisine . . . I had lasagne and Andy had Ravioli and

Us throwing a coin in the Trevi fountain. So we will return... we are on a budget so we threw one coin in together!!! Hopefully the deal about throwing a coin in to return to Rome is having a 2 for 1 deal today.
it was multa bona . . . graztie.

Pictures will come soon! 😊 Tomorrow we are going to visit Pompeii!!!! Ole!

Redemption
I had all my Macchu Pichu pictures stolen (13 years ago)...I guess I should follow the model and go back there. The Nuevo Sol is a little cheaper than the Euro, so you guys should come along :-) 102 degrees sounds awful, but you look happy!
