Captain's Log: Dec 14th, 2012:
I made it to Dublin! I left the San Diego Airport at 10:30am Dec 13th, caught a cconecting flight at Chicago, and finally made it to the Dublin Airport at 8am Dec 14t I got to see the Sunset on the way to Chicago and the Sunrise on the plane to Dublin. The first plane had the most turbulance I've ever had on a plane, it was pretty intense! People were screaming and stuff, and i wanted to poop my pants, lol.
First off I am typing this all on the touch screen of my newphone, so that makes me almost kind of cool and stuff. It also makes for a lot of mispellings and punctuations errors and that sucks. Anyway, so my roomate Alex isnt getting here until around 9PM, so i decided to spend my day walking around Doublin on my own. It was pretty cold and rainy, but not too bad. I was able to catch a bus that took me to where a lot of cool stuff was.
I saw some pretty Awesome stuff on my 5 hour Trek throuh Dublin on my own with my giant homeless looking
backpacking bag on my back! Lol. Temple Bar (a part of town, not a bar) was Amazing. Some cool ass looking buildings with awesome long and narow alley ways with cobble stone stteets. I went to a few giant cathedral style churches like St Andrews, Checd out the Doublin Castle, Trinity University was thee coolest and oldest looking school i've ever seen in my life, went to some sick parks, talked to a bunch of really nice Irish People with really zweet accents, and went to a bunch of other cool places.
I then made my way through the city towards my Hostile, and ate at this really good sandwhich place along the way. I then finally made it walming to tthe Hostel that i,'ll be staying at for the next few days called the Genorater Hostile, which is super nice. I'm staying in a room with 8 people from Spain and Italy and they don't speak english too well. I'm listening to their Spanish right now and I have o idea what they're saying, but one of them is a pretty cute girl and her Spanish sounds way better then the Spanish in San Diego.
Since it's about 10am my home time, (6 pm here), and haven't slept yet today and I've seen so much already, that I think I'm going to call it a night. Tomorrow we are going to hit up the Guiness Factory and taste the greatest Guiness in all of the World!!! We're also within crawling distance to a Jamison Factory next to our hostel, so we will probably hit that up too.
Sorry for the length of this entry, the next ones will be more short and concise, because this was pretty long, That's What She Said.
-Chris
Cheers from Dublin!
