me and katie in dublin city centre SO! Me and Katie got to the Gatwkick airport yesterday morning at 7:20 am... then took got to the South Terminal to get a train ticket. The guy at the train ticket counter said "ah... yes.. the train leaves in 5 minutes for Holyhead..." and by the time we got through paying he said "you've got a minute and a half to get to Platform 4!". It was like a racing game. So when we got there, we got on the next train... and about 20 minutes later, when arriving in London city centre, we then realized it was THE WRONG TRAIN we got onto. We then had to take a taxi to get to the next switch over in time. We hopped in the taxi and had a good ol conversation with the british man who was very very nice 😊
Anyway.. so once we got the hang of finding the right platforms, and learning how to walk up to people and get help.. like typical americans, then we were fine. The train took 7 hours total to get from Gatwick to Hlolyhead, so we got there a little past 5.. then we waited in line along with 100's

band playing irish music on street of Rugby players that were going back to Ireland from Wales, and Holyhead was packed because they cancelled the ferry that was to leave at 6, because it got stuck in the sea somewhere. So we waited in line for the 3:30 am ferry ride, and by doing so met a very very nice Irish guy, that was waiting as well. His name is spelled Michael but pronounced very different. Then him and his friend took us to this rustic pub where we drank some good cider and had a good time. They all get drunk and have this "quiz game" at the tables, which we played. Most of the questions were European and we didn't know them, but we got the Lyndon B Johnson question right.. and Katie just reminded me Shania Twain 😊
So then we went to this very interesting club a few blocks away... and they mainly played 60s and 70s music... with a few good ol new hip hop songs in the mix... was very odd...
So then we fell asleep on the ferry later on that night, in the kids playground section of the ferry. When we got there this morning, the guys

wall built around dublin took us to Dublin and dropped us off at my friend from high schools apartment... Ahmar. We then slept for SEVERAL hours.. got up and got some pizza downstairs, met some "cooo" britsh guys that we're going to hang out with later on tonight. (Along with a few Irish, french, and american people)
Tomorrow morning we leave for Galway, at 9 am, so i'll post more then.. for now.. i'm having to pay for internet, which i'm not used to, so goodbye for now 😊
EDIT: I'm trying to upload these cool pictures, but it's not letting me, and the internet (again)... i have to pay for. so check back tomorrow please 😊

uh-oh...Where's Katie's backpack? ;-)
Glad you're both still alive and having fun. I hope Katie's phone works from your end -- I haven't been able to get through from here.
