Los primeros km muy bien, solecito y viento a favor. Habia un mogollon de esos pajaritos marrones, y cuando coincide que hay unos cuantos se ponen a acosarte, supongo que tendran nidos por ahi. Uno o dos te vuelan alrededor y los otros les hacen los coros. Luego para arriba por un valle con viento fuerte en contra. Al final del todo, donde la gasolinera habia un camping-albergue que si llego a saber que habia hubiese sido perfecto para ayer. Finalmente salir del valle y meterme por una altiplano, todo liso y con las montañas al fondo, lo tipico, y viento a favor. Luego subir otro pequeño paso y bajar a la llanura de los volcanes, viento horrible en contra. Y de alli salir y con viento lateral hasta el camping. Lo de los volcanes ha estado bastante espectacular, lo otro tambien ha estado bien, pero lo de los volcanes ha sido lo mejor. Con este dia largo ya he pasado la zona donde no hay pueblos ni ciudades grandes. El camping en el que estoy hoy es curioso, es un pueblo de 8 casas con una pista de aterrizaje. Creo que aqui ahora mismo solo viven 2 familias, lo demas son las casas con las habitaciones que alquilan y almacenes. En general, los campings de Islandia son baratos (7-8 euros), pero bastante cutres. Adjunto de hoy por la mañana foto del equipo de seguridad, que ha dormido junto a mi tienda, y del volcan gordo con el casquete glaciar arriba.

The first km very well, sun and backwind. There was a lot of those brown small birds, and when there are a few together they start to harass you, I guess they have nests over there. One or two will fly around you and the other will do the chorus. Then up through a valley with strong wind against. At the very end, where the gas station is there is a campsite and hostel that if I would have known it would have been perfect for yesterday. Finally go out of the valley and a starts a plateau, all flat and with mountains in the background, so typical, and backwind. Then another small step up and down to the plain of volcanoes, horrible wind against. And from there out and with crosswind to the campsite. That of the volcanoes has been quite spectacular, the other also has been good, but what of the volcanoes has been the best. This day I've gone over the area where there are no large towns or cities. The campsite where I am today is curious, is a village of 8 houses with an airstrip. I think only 2 families are living here now, the rest are houses for renting rooms and warehouses. Overall, Iceland campsites are cheap (7-8 euros), but pretty crappy. I send also some pictures from today, one of the security team, who has slept next to my tent, and the big volcano with the ice cap on top.
