It was a public holiday being Whit Monday and we joined the locals and tour parties for a delightful morning visiting the centre of Szentendre. Many artists have operated from here and the highlight was visiting the museum showing the work of the ceramatist and sculptor Margit Kovacs. Wendy found it particularly enjoyable as she was able to get very close to look at the many pieces of work on display.
In the late morning we drove into Budapest and after one abortive attempt found a pleasant place to stay, Camping Haller, which is close to the centre. We went into the city for supper and afterwards wandered around enjoying the floodlit buildings and bridges.
