Mosaics

Almost every room in the palace had a mosaic on the floor. Most were brought from the island of Kos to satisy Mussolini's decorating desires.

Mosque

Built by Suleymanye the Magnificent during the Ottoman occupation, I think. Now it is under heavy restoration and cannot be entered.

Archeological Museum Fountain

Taken from the gate outside on the Street of Knights. I have to give Piper credit for this photo. She took her version first and it is much better than mine. I didn't even notice this lovely gate.

Lindos is a traditional 'blue and white' town on the east coast of the island of Rhodes.

Looks impressive in this picture, and in real life. But not so much on the inside. Save your 6 euros...

Look at the Guy in the Yellow Shirt

In the UK, there is a weight limit of 50kg (about 110lbs) for riding a donkey. Clearly those recommended limits are not enforced on Rhodes.

Looks a lot like Rumeli Fortress in Istanbul from this angle.

These mosaics adorned almost every entryway in Lindos, and many others in Rhodes Town as well.
