I'm not going to write day-by-day as I usually do. I'll just write about each island I visited. Some of my readers have messaged me to ask how life in Turkey is going. Almost every room in the palace had a mosaic on the floor. Most were brought from the island of Kos to satisy Mussolini's decorating desires.

Built by Suleymanye the Magnificent during the Ottoman occupation, I think. Now it is under heavy restoration and cannot be entered.

Lindos is a traditional 'blue and white' town on the east coast of the island of Rhodes.

Looks impressive in this picture, and in real life. But not so much on the inside. Save your 6 euros...

just waiting to take you up the hill to the Acropolis at Lindos. It is a five minute walk, maybe 15 if you are old or really out of shape...

In the UK, there is a weight limit of 50kg (about 110lbs) for riding a donkey. Clearly those recommended limits are not enforced on Rhodes.

Looks a lot like Rumeli Fortress in Istanbul from this angle.
