Corfu

On Corfu we met a cab driver/tour guide who gave us a tour of the island. Split four ways, the fourty euros wasn't so much for what we got. It was a wonderful tour through mountains and little villages to a monistery, and sparkling lagoons. We bought wine and olive oil from a farmer in the hills. Wine, in Europe, is very inexpensive.

The Parthanon

The Acropolis is a must see. There is an Old Town shopping district nearby as well. Athens was very hot in June. I imagine it would be hotter in July and August.

Mykonos

Mykonos is a beautiful and exotic island in the Agean. We walked through its narrow, winding streets. These were deliberately designes to be maze-like to confound pirates who attact the island. The buildings a white to reflect the hot Agean sun. ...Great beaches. The water is very salty.

At Olympia

We took a train from Katakolon to Olympia. These are impressive ruins. There's a great museum as well. I'd recommend taking a picnic. There are beautiful gardens, and great scenery.
