We decided to drive down south of the peninsula to paliouri today. It turned out to be a small village, quite remote with not that many shops. We stopped at Neo Skioni to have lunch. It was a rather bad restaurant though although it was run by an Australian woman. The food was burnt and didn’t look very appetising! So I didn’t eat anything. It was a very hot day. We saw a bit of the stretch of the sea down there, but it was rather rocky. We then drove back to Hanioti and went swimming with mum at the beach near the resort. The water was quite cold and the floor was very pebbly. The sea was very calm as well. We collected lotsa rocks. Found a conglomerate which was cool. We swam for about an hour, then went back to shower. For dinner we drove out to town to et at the Old Tavern. There was a very nice friendly waiter who mum nicknamed ‘sau ar tsai’. Had a yuvetsi. We also bought a Frisbee and a dinghy!!
