Mountain in mid Greece
...surely its Mount Olympus where his holiness, Zeus resides... First and foremost, I would like to apologize to my greek uncle, Uncle Lou, for any potential offense i may make.
AVOID ATHENS This once legendary city (birthplace of democracy) is now home to rude people and over-rated Akropoliseseses.
Captain Jones Smitherington and I nestled in a small budget hotel and took it upon ourselves to explore the city. The first item we noted was how courtious the ancient Greeks truly were - by painting all the ridiculous scaffolding the same colour as the Parthenon it surrounded. Glorious!!! Oh, and thanks to the security guard who yelled at us for posing in front of such historic and religious monuments - i failed to realize the Greeks still worshipped the Greek goddess Athena. Yup, for a nation who´s third largest political party is communist, they sure hold their democracy sacred.
But alas, i must admit that Zeus´pillars were impressive (especially when i pretended they were my giant stone penis!!! Hilarity!!!) And the one night we did a pub crawl with the nearby hostellers was rather enjoyable, especially defeating Austrian girls in ol´Olympic footraces. And of course, lets not forget the most amazing street vendor food I have ever
Parthenon
Beautiful scaffolding, no? had which is slowly becoming my favourite part of travelling - food.
Like serious, the Greeks just eat plates of tzatziki. Weird.
But to be fair, not all Greeks are crazy, just ask my Uncle Lou who will surely say, "You know, my brother Costas..."
After Athens successfully defeated us, we venture off to Frankfurt, Deutschland where a carriage shall await us and transport us off to Amsterdam. Hopefully the people are more friendly and welcome us into their homes...
