Bad Ems

The day started with the short cycle into Dausenau, then it was on to Bad Ems, a spar town 5k down the river. Unfortunately on the way there Wendy fell off her bike but suffered no serious injuries. We spent a pleasant few hours admiring the town’s grand 18^th and 19^th century buildings and parks and had a ride on its cable railway up into the surrounding hills. To avoid any further cycling incidents, we came back on the train!

Our visit to this pleasant area was brought to an excellent end with a delicious goulash cooked for us by the owner of one of the restaurants in Dausenau.
