Igel is situated about 10 k along the Mosel from the city of Trier and we cycled there today.

Trier was a major Roman centre and has several monuments from that era as well as a spectacular cathedral and Germany’s oldest gothic church. Most of it has Unesco World Heritage status and we spent the day enjoying what there was to see before cycling back to the van.
