September 24th: Tuesday: We left the Danube River and entered the Main Danube Canal linking the North Sea to the Black Sea. Early in the morning we crossed the Continental Divide – we had been going into locks and rising to meet the river, where as of this time we go into locks and down to meet the river. Arriving early afternoon we had an escorted tour through Medieval Nuremberg viewing the castle walls that were built 1452.
