North to Marktheidenfeld

We left Camping Bled early, had a very scenic drive crossing Austria then through Germany past Munich, Nuremburg and Wurzburg to Marktheidenfeld a total of about 600k.

Marktheidenfeld is on the River Main. We had stayed there at the beginning of the trip but the riverside site we had used then was affected by the floods and couldn’t accommodate us but we found somewhere close by in this attractive area.

Just as we were about to go to bed we had a spectacular thunderstorm which thankfully didn’t penetrate our rooflight leak. It was the first rain we had had since driving to Split three weeks before.
