Bre in Germany
Go Duetchland! Day 2 -We met up with Breanne. It was so good to see her! She looks the same… just a Danish hair cut (which she hates). I think we smiled and talked for hours. Yes, she still talks 100 mph.
It’s now the next day around 11:00am (we got no sleep) and we head to Rothenburg ob der Taber. On our way, we travel through a town named Spessart Specht. My niece’s last name is Specht. We had to stop and take a picture. We’ll figure out what is means when we finally get on the internet.
Rothenberg, what a beautiful place! It’s an old medieval city that is surrounded by two stone walls. There is an outer wall, that has a few pieces still remaining, and an inner wall where most of the current town lies. We stayed at a B&B just inside the inner wall. It was a converted livery stable so our rooms were old stalls. It was very cool. Ted and I took a short nap and then we went to dinner then called it a night.
