Yesterday’s weather: Sun and 20 degrees! And we spent the whole day in the car. Racing on the Autobahn, where 130 km/hour are considered slow… Keep up with the pace! 600 km later we were in Bad Grund.
Yes, K came up with the idea to see our “own” place again, Park Hotel Flora in Bad Grund, Harz. (See the entries from 9 and 11 of Mars ). The lovely hotel garden is now blooming, the food is great, the owner is lovely, so we decided to make it an extra day here. The woman who runs this place has now started up the kitchen for the season, and her husband is the chef. And he could really cook. So we are going there tonight again for their daily dinner with three courses. This is really worth it!
Today we have jogged around the village on a beautiful path, and then we opened one of the Cremant bottles from Jura for lunch… with a baguette… And in the afternoon we tasted a really nice “Apfelstrudel mit Eis und Sahne” on a nearby café.
When we bought the bread in the mini supermarket, we realized how cheap the Jägermeister is here….! How many bottles can you squeeze in between the wine-boxes in the car… Let’s see…
It feels great to just be here in Bad Grund. Everything is so easy, and everybody so friendly. And this afternoon the sun is coming back again, after a cloudy morning. This “Bergstadte” is full of witches where ever you go… Have tried to figure out why, but language difficulties have still been an obstacle… Have to ask at the restaurant to night!

We were the only ones there - eight weeks ago. Now it was closed permanently. Maybe no one came after us...

Oj, vad det rasslade till!! Har haft fullt upp med jobb o inte hunnit titta på mina mejl på ett par dar och under tiden har ni hunnit uppleva och också skriva ned fyra nya inlägg!! - Ja, ni verkar ju kunna ta det lite lugnt och mindfullt också. Det är bra!
Magnolian uppmärksammade jag i Afrika och blev mycket förtjust i den lite karga och nakna växten med de vackra, väldoftande blommorna! Underbar! Må Bra! / Maria.

Det var faktiskt JAG som tog närbilden på magnolia blommorna... Fast jag visste inte att det var magnolia, men K kom på det efter ett tag. Blomorna är alltså så fantasiska att t o m jag lägger märke till dom och slås av deras ovanlighet. Som om det växte tulpaner i ett träd! /J
