We are sitting in the Frankfurt airport waiting in a deli/bar....these things are genius! Deli food, kaffee items, beer and drinks all in one location. We enjoyed a honey Weiss and a woman sat next to me...been in a "dry" country for a year and she said "give me a mohjito....I haven't drank in a year....can you imagine a dry country?" I engaged in an hour long conversation with a Wisconsin woman who has been abroroad with her now 10 year old daughter in tow? what a great treat! We laughed, talked about raising our daughters and the cultural things affecting them. She was meeting friends in Canada but is the actually located in the Arab nations, teaching English....desert area where the temp is around 120 degrees. Her daughter speaks Arabic and English. We talked about being moms of daughters....Clayton visited about Japan and she has actually seen a geisha who made her feel llike she was just a shell of a woman....as well as the affect the American culture has on our kids....it was nice to talk to a soul like myself....after laughs and great convo she thanked me for the reminder that we aren't alone in this world....there are
Finding espresso!
Getting ready to leave the Main station in Frankfurt others who people watch and make up stories about and find the exact same simple things in life hilarious....even if you've been abroad for a couple Years. ?(Pam you know exactly what I'm talking about). Anyways, bring on our Scotland adventure...we board in 20 minutes?
