Germany

So we made it to Germany in one piece. Thus far we have enjoyed some banana hefeweizen beer and some bratwurst. We also visited the Schloss Heidelberg castle in 36 degree sunshine!...All preparation for the evaporation of Corey and Andrea in the Egyptian heat tomorrow. Of special note, we visited, of all things, a Pharmacy Museum at the castle. It was a surprisingly large museum and pretty cool. Andrea called it "the single most meaningful experience" of her life. I can only assume that meeting yours truly was the second...

Today we are headed to the Rheine River to do whatever Matt deems to be worthy of a first trip to Germany. We will let you know how that goes. FYI...German keyboards are sufficiently different from their North American counterparts to make typing a bit of a pain in the ass....
