Saturday 10th June 2006: Hamburg

Game: Ivory Coast v Argentina.
Location: Hamburg Fan Fest

This was day two of the World Masters in Deutschland, 06.

Ivory Coast fans, the underdogs came out in scores to support the first timers in their first World Cup Game.

It was also here that we purchased our Australian Flag. How could we resist - we have to support the best country in the World - and the next WM Champions .

Monday 12th June 2006: Bremen

Game: Australia v Japan
Location: Cinemaxx, Bremen

Australia’s first game… against Japan.
As the rest of Bremen soon heard we won 3:1. After the game the guys jumped around Bremen making a lot of noise, and proclaiming our victory.

The Hauptbahnhof received its fair share of “Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!” with bystanders just looking in awe.

The Town Musicians also had

their 30 seconds of fame, being offered an Australian flag cape.

Wednesday 14th June 2006: Bremen

Game: Deutschland v Poland
Location: Cinemaxx, Bremen

This was Germany’s 2nd game; and second win for the first round. A game ending with a 1:0 win to Germany sent the crowds home chanting.

As you can see blocking a major intersection in Bremen for more than 50 minutes.

Pedestrians became distracted halfway across the road by their soccer chants, and likewise the drivers of their cars, horns beeping, got out of their car in the middle of the road to join in the chorus.

Friday 30th June 2006: Bremen

Game: Deutschland v Argentina
Location: Marktplatz, Bremen

This was Germany's viertelfinale match... which was decided with a penalty shoot out... Making Germany the victors.
