Tegelberg
Neuschwanstein castle visible from deck of cable car. At the next day - Tuesday we decided we experience something completely different. We noticed cable rail next to the Hohenschwangau village and we decided to go there early morning. We had purpose to see some more attractions except fairy tale castles biult by king Ludwig II of Bavaria.
We hadn't suitable stuff to hiking over mountains so we could have ride in cable rail to the top of
Tegelberg and hike a bit overthere. How to get to cable rail station under Tegelberg from Schwangau by foot? Easy :P We just went left and short after we turned into Tegelbergerstraβe. Everything included station at the top is visible from Schwangau. When you walking along the Tegelbergerstraβe you'd get to the small bridge, cross it and you'd see the cable rail station. Piece of cake :-) Half an hour walking.
Price for one ride and return - 17 euro, we got small discount for Gästekarte possession. :P Into single cable car could get several people but even taht they are still comfortable. That cable rail is lenght for 2146 meters long and it climbs up to 1720 meters above the sea level. Height difference between station's level and mountain
Tegelberg
View towards north from cable car. summit is 892.5 meters. That mountain is very steep and we feld that cable car climbed up. No one should going to faint, cable cars aren't shaking or wobbling. When we were riding into the cable car we saw both castles and wide area surrounding them, including couple of lakes. We were surprised when someone spotted big lake behind Schwangau.
At the summit we found restaurant and ski haven, we met skydivers. We feld a different of temperature overthere. Was a bit colder than in the valley. We walked to short hike to get a bit higher and eventally we sat on the stones and admired landscape spreading around us. No one of us has seen something similar, I have been first time in Alpes. There is a beautiful landscape but one thing affected my attention - Alpes have no foothills like Carpathian mpountains have. Alpes cut the world for two parts - in one location might be a calm valley but a bit further away valley turned to steep hills. There is a border between two different worlds. We spent at the summit couple of hours just for relax and after we came back down in cable car
Tegelberg
We are at the summit of Tegelberg. Alps have amazing landscape. and finally at that day we came back to Neuschwanstein but we used different way, more interesting one as I think. We were walking along the river and waterfall on the iron footbridge. Solid rock next to our faces limited visibility at the front and that's was that what enjoyed all of us. Short after we had to overcome our tiredness dispite of upstairs those we had to climb. We directed to Marienbrücke to see the Neuschwanstein castle from different perspective and take some pictures, we found a place from we had very nice view for Hohenschwangau castle and surrounding area. This is really fairy tale landscape when you could see a castle with untipical shape and high towers in mountains or bettween hills and next to the lake. Hohenschwangau castle was visible on the background of forest and two lakes.
We weren't alone, big crowd of tourists directed to Marienbrücke or just were coming back from there. Finally we got there. The bridge is made of iron and looks solid. It wasn't easy to get there -
Marienbrücke was overcrowded. I suffered a bit because I wore leather trousers. We expected bad weather but sun shone brightly.
