Hello everyone,
our first few days at this new placement have gone really well, the work is all outside so 4 1/2 hours each morning outdoors isnt the best working conditions but we keep busy and wear lots of layers, having lots of working clothes has been so handy as means we can layer up and doesnt matter if we get too dirty!
Our first job each morning is to give the horses new water and clean their water buckets and then we help clean the stables or take the horses to the field, its very different from before.
The food is amazing and theres always so much! and we have been told we are allowed to help ourselves to food whenever we like and to drinks too.
The father here doesnt speak English but really tries to communicate which is nice, apparently the word sugar is very similar to the word for poison in German so asking for sugar with our coffee was interesting.
our next placement has said they can host us from Feb 20th and they have one month old baby twins!! after that we wanted to go switzerland but getting there seems really expensive even by train so may go straight to South of France, organising travelling is really not that easy when u need to make sure u have a bed to sleep in every night! if it was summer it would be so much easier as we have tent
Some of the horses here are poorley and have coughs so are not allowed Hay
