Legoland!Legoland!Legoland!

Can you see Daniel's excited face!?
Hi all.
It has fallen upon me (Dan) to write today’s informative, enthralling and otherwise witty blog entry. I know that you are all breathlessly waiting to read what happened in Legoland today. Well let me put an end to your suffering and baited breath. Today we, that is Monique and I, toddled of to one of the Legolands, this one happened to be in Deutschland. I have always been a fan of Lego and when I was somewhat younger I decided that I needed to go to Legoland. That did not happen as Lego did not recognise the vast importance of shifting a Legoland to New Brighton. Nevertheless, 20 years on I finally made it. Anyway, on with the blog. Legoland Germany was great fun. It had all the rides of any decent theme park: roller coasters, spiny things, theatres, log flumes, boat rides, get wet things etc. We started by going to the factory building which has some of the robots that make Lego bricks whirring away. After that we hit the rollercoaster. There’s this camera that takes photos of people’s faces as things get exciting and Monique’s face was one of sheer terror!! The highlight of the park

We took a fast rollarcoaster ride here.
for me was seeing the 7 mini cities (or parts of) constructed completely out of Lego. They are based on real cities in Europe and are very impressive. The scale of the cities is larger than the normal Lego mini figure scale and some of the buildings stood 3-4m high. There are moving parts and various lights and the odd thing that squirts water at you too.
Also, all around the park are animals and people all made of Lego bricks. Someone’s put a lot of work in to it. I could go on about all the different things but it’s probably easier and more interesting for you to look at the photos. We basically spent the whole day there.

It was massive - and all made of small lego blocks!

All filled with little lego people, even had flashes going off in crowd for cameras, and lots of cheering.

They even sung and played their instruments - and their legs and arms moved in time to the music!
