After two brilliant sunny days in the mountains we woke up to dull and damp weather. Therefore it was no hardship to start the journey home. Our plan was to drive northwards through France without paying any road tolls.
Our first task was to traverse the Pyrenees and cross the border from Spain which we did via the Beisla Tunnel. Then after a steep descent it was along the D929 and N21, crossing the River Lot to spend the night in a very handy and quiet camper stop in the village of Cancon.
