Along the Lot

We decided to spend the next few days following the River Lot westward downstream. To get there from Florac we went along the upper reaches of the Gorges Du Tarn, climbed out of the gorge on a steep and narrow road with superb views, crossed a plateau and dropped down to the Lot at La Canourgue.

We then followed the course of the river for 50k passing the town of Espalion and othe small settlements built on rocky bluffs to stay the night at an attractive spot in Entraygues on the banks of the river.
