Back to where it all began. After landing in Paris and moving on quickly, we are now back to spend a few days in the city of lights. We did some of the typical tourist things; Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Dining on the Left Bank, and some not so usual things like doing the Charlie and the MTA tour of the Paris train system and walking around the airport hotels trying to find our own at 1 in the morning. It really is a fascinating city and needs about a month stay just to scratch the surface. Our two days will have to do for a while. The weather cooperated fully and it really was like a movie. I took a group of game Folkids to walk up and down the Eiffel tower and we figured by the end of the day we had climbed up and down about 3000 steps. Good workout!
Folkids of Vermont is a group based in Burlington,Vermont that performs traditional New England dances and songs. Each new group of 10-17 year olds learns dances that were popular in Vermont in the late 1800s and then performs them to audiences around the region. At the end of a session, which lasts about a year, we travel overseas to spend two to three weeks in another country sharing our dances and songs with them.
