20 September 2018 One of the advantages of Camping Le Dramont is that it is very close to a station on the railway line which runs close to or on the coast along the Côte D’Azur. Today we took the 60k train ride eastwards to Nice.
It turned out to be a vibrant city which in clear but very hot weather, provided us with a superb day visiting three of its main visitor attractions; the palm - lined promenade des Anglais paid for by Nice’s English colony in 1822; the elevated Parc du Château giving panoramic views of Nice and its port; and Vieux Nice, the old town with a rabbit warren of narrow streets lined by buildings dating from the 1700s.
