Dramont day one

A lazy day at the campsite and its environs during which we went swimming in the pool and in the sea from the local beach.

The campsite is located on a strangely named street, Boulevard de la 36^th Division du Texas. The reason for this is that on 15^th August 1944 this division landed at Dramont Beach as part of a joint American and French force of 140,000 men that helped to drive the Nazis out of France. There is a memorial to the event and we had a look at it on the way to the beach.
