As demonstrated in the pictures, I was In Menton, France, for the carnival break. Carnival is a truly fantastic holiday. In way it's like an extended Halloween, but with parades in place of trick-or-treating. These ones are made of lemons and oranges attached to metal frames!

They have these because it is the one city in France where lemons grow outside, so it's a long tradition and a big deal.
