Carnaval de Nice

The Carnaval de Nice is all week and we went on Sunday to one of the parades. It was really cool, kids were shooting silly string and there was confetti all over the place! The floats were amazing too, they were all decked out and the costumes people of the float wore fit perfectly with the theme. I liked the theme a lot, it was cats, rats, and bats. Each float followed the theme some way and there was music so the people on the floats were dancing to that and throwing confetti all over. A guy was talking on the loud speaker the whole time too but it was all French so it was hard to understand. The parade basically went around in a long oval a couple times but it lasted at least a couple of hours! Kids loved the parade of course because they could shoot anyone with silly string they wanted, i got hit quite a bit! I tried to take good pictures but i think you have to be there to really know whats it like!

I didnt get to see too much of Nice, but what i did see it looks really nice! There are quite a few fancy hotels along the water, but the main difference is the beach is all rocky and not sandy like in Cannes. That makes me glad I came to Cannes! It was real pretty though!
