we continued our d-day theme here in Normandy. saw Juno beach which is the Canadian one. its a huge beach community nowadays with many french and British vacationers. it reminds me of ventura a bit. very nice. had some weird dish which was the only vegetarian thing there aside from an omelet. i thought it was a vegetable plate and i guess it was. it had fries, boiled potatoes, tomatoes, pasta, and a tiny thing of a few pieces of lettuce. all sampler size. because it was a seaside town, almost everything on the menu was seafood which is understandable. we asked if they could make me up a salad or a sandwich and they said no lol. anyway, got dessert and that's all that matters. got an ice cream cone.i guess a major reason why us yanks tend to be overweight is the proportion size. when you get a scoop of ice cream here, it's about half the size of a scoop in the us. you get just enough for flavor and taste. oh yeah. i did this out of order. we went to gold beach first which was the British beach. went to a museum inside which wasn't as good as the others. it pretty much showed things about German soldiers had had dummies wearing authentic stuff. the joke about the dummies was that most of the dummies looked Asian, looked like women, were too much makeup, and one looked possessed lol. i wish i had my digital camera. you guys are going to have to wait till i get my film developed and get the pictures scanned online though. that will be in august though. sorry. saw another d-day short film without words. like the museums, the other movies we watched were better. oh yeah. this was kewl. we went to the tapestry museum which has this very ancient 70m tapestry which tells the story of William, Edward, and Harold all in almost a comic book form on this cloth. the story almost seems like something you would read out of the bible. this was by far one of the most interesting things i have seen throughout my trip so far. got a gift for a friend too from the gift shop that i think she would like. its a necklace with a Norman symbol that it supposed to be like a charm for good luck. i got her one i believe for happiness because she seems unhappy most of the time. i hope this changes though. we then went to our driver's bed and breakfast and met his french wife. spoke no English but she seemed very nice. met his cat too. it was very cute and very relaxed. his house is exactly how you would imagine a house in a small town in France to look. we were there really just to pick up our laundry and to look at how he packaged something for us. this family could not be anymore nicer. oh yeah. the house is also old and very quaint. i asked the driver if he could drive by this old cemetery i saw the other day. at first he didn't know which one i was talking about so went to 3. the first 2 wasn't it but the third was. i had a very creepy experience there. i went to the church's graveyard. a little one that isn't famous or anything but was made in the 1300s. anyway, i was walking around and i saw 2 dead birds, an eggshell, and one of the church stained glass windows was damaged. how ominous is that? maybe its not that weird to most people, but it weirded me out. went back to the hotel and have to pack stuff up because tomorrow night, I'm flying to Barcelona. I'm really scared about traveling alone. Ive never done this before. i hope i don't cry and be depressed and shit.

I am 21 years old and studying to become a special education teacher. While teaching, I would like to earn a Master's in library science and work with kids in junior high or high school making sure they do not plagiarize (just kidding)! I also am a vegetarian and I am concerned with the well being of animals especially cute animals. Also I cannot spell or type for the life of me so I do expect those "e bullies" to insult me. I am too lazy to use spellcheck most of the time as well. It's okay though. I basically made this page for myself, friends, and family. All the wonderful insulting comment... full info
