Well know bridge - very ornate and looks fantastic day and night... Last day in Paris:
Late start to the day - had breakfast and then went for a wander and had a coffee at our new found coffee place and then bought tickets for a boat cruise and a Paris by night tour.
Did the midday boat cruise and saw Paris, old and new, and then went for a pizza lunch in an area new to us and found heaps of places that we hadn't found before - such an amazing array of shops and restaurants!! Back to the hotel for a nanny nap and hoped the rain would hold off for the night - Packed our bags ready for our train trip the next day to Florence.
No such luck - it absolutely poured down so went for a drink at the local pub while waiting for our bus for the Night tour. The rain didn't let up until we were on the bus - thank God for the roof on top although the sides were down so many upper deck were very wet but the best views are from up there so John used his hanky to dry the seats for us - thankfully the rain held

Looking down the Seine at night off and off we went to see the sights by night. Absolutely beautiful at night and so glad we decided to do the night tour. At night every hour on the hour the Eiffel Tower has a show of glittering lights for 3 minutes, fortunately I managed to get it on video and it was spectacular - again on Facebook but not sure if we can get it on here - will certainly try.
We walked home - after a great evening and packed ready for an early morning to the train to Florence. Have really enjoyed Paris and all the sights, shopping and mainly being able to wander around for hours each day. Also meant to mention, that would you believe, the people from West Lakes, Adelaide, were on the same bus as us - honestly what are the chances of that happening?!
