Artists paint here all day
Today turned bitterly cold in Paris! We travelled on the metro to visit these amazing places, again walking for miles! And then let's just throw in Sacre Coeur for good measure! Together with Notre Dame de Paris, they make up the two most revered and sacred places in Paris. Sainte Elisabeth houses the historic Elisabeth Organ in a lovely old temple that is being renovated. The wall paintings are quite lovely. Many places in Paris are quite expensive to visit but the splendour of the churches is there for all eyes to see and the atmosphere inside tends to be reverent and peaceful.

Oh Liz, every second shop in our Paris wanderings sold macaroons and we could find none, remember. There are so many restaurants, Bread and pastry shops, fruit vendors and crepe making stalls: this is such an amazing city and we will let the photos speak for themself. People are still putting flowers and mementos on the marble statue in Place de la Republique to remember those killed in the recent French bombings.
