Another stamp on the passport!!! We left VERY early Thursday morning (on the first subway of the day at 5:09 a.m. !!) for the Eurostar railway to Paris. It is a bustling, cosmopolitan city. Lots of traffic, lots of old buildings, and lots of people !!! We went to the 2d level of the Eiffel Tower---it's more impressive than it sounds! Fantastic views of the whole city. We spent the afternoon at the Palais de Versaille----a perfect example of someone's overindulgence of oneself!!! We returned VERY late (10:35 p.m.) Thursday evening.
We finishd the evening with a "royal" dinner at Burger King down from our hotel!!!!
