The Eiffel Tower for me was really boring, but we can't go to France and not do the Eiffel Tower. I would have much rather preffered to explore the catacombs(underground tunnels where bones exhumed from mass graves are stored). First we stood in a long queue to get into the tower, then came the push and shove to get onto the elevator where we were squashed like sardines. Our hearts were pounding 13 to the dozen because we were going higher and higher and did not know what to expect!!(especially with my fear of heights) but when we got to the top, it wasn't all that we thought it would be, as everything was fenced, so it didn't feel like we were actually so high and everything was so commercial at the top of the tower. It actually felt like we were wandering around the streets of Paris. Going up Jama Masjid in India is 100 times more frightening.

Krisel's edit: I also found the Eiffel Tower way boring.

Keeran's edit: I liked the Eiffel Tower, but mommy didn't want to buy us anything from the restuarant cos it was so expensive, so Krisel and I had to share the chicken roll we bought from the bakery in the morning😞

Keeran thought the remains of the Bastille was still there and she so wanted to see it, but all we saw was a monument in remembrance of the Bastille where the Bastille used to be - sorry Kee - no Marie Antoniette today😞

We then walked the streets of Paris, just enjoying the people, the shops, the great vibe. It was thrilling. We also went laptop hunting. And the girls managed to find a McDonalds(which was the cheapest meal - 2Euros(R22) for a kiddies meal and which they loved). Dinner that night (prepared by Maria was leg of lamb, grilled veggies and another huge box of Lindt) Divine!!

Edit: On the train from Switzerland to Paris we saw an American guy with a mini laptop. Keeran is not a big spender, but when she saw the laptop, she knew that this was what she wanted to spend her money on and it was only R3000!!
