Deb and Diana before we hit the train. We had a restful morning then headed back on the train to Paris, but not before a picture of Deb and Diana outside our unit. We started the day with a visit to the Military Museum and Napoleon’s tomb. The museum was very large and we focused our attention on a few time periods, especially a new World War II exhibit they have. Will can be seen posing in front of a room of armor. I found it interesting how the museum tries to explain the Vichy French and why they cooperated with the Nazis rather than fighting like the Free French.
After completing the visit by seeing Napoleon’s tomb and having some lunch, we were off to Notre Dame. There was quite a crowd there and we had to wait a few minutes to get in. While waiting, we got a nice picture of Diana and a Christmas tree in front of the cathedral. Unfortunately, after completing our tour inside, we found the entrance to walk to the tower was closing for the day. So, we took a group photo outside and headed off for hot chocolate instead! Our final photo is Deb and Diana in a small street
No shortage of armor
Will checks out some armor. while we searching for good hot chocolate.
We completed the evening with light shopping and walking along the Seine to the Place de Concorde. We then headed home to get ready for a day at Disneyland tomorrow.
