We got up at 6:00 a.m, as usual, this morning to be ready for breakfast from 7:00-8:00 a.m., but we didn’t head out to Disneyland immediately afterwards to stalk Mickey at the front gate. Instead, I decided that I was exhausted, and went back to bed. Katherine and Papa quickly followed my leadership and went to sleep, also. We slept in until about 11:00. Then we headed to the train station to visit the great city of Paris. After standing in line to buy train tickets and spending an hour on the train, we arrived in Paris at about 1:00. We got off the RER at the Arc de Triomphe. It was impressive, but our daughter was starving, so after a few hastily shot pictures, we headed down avenue de Champs-Elysees to find lunch. David really wanted to eat at a Parisian sidewalk café, but they were all packed. So, he made fun of me for stopping at McDonald’s, but I didn’t care, because I was feeding my baby. After lunch we continued to walk down Champs-Elysees. It’s a beautiful boulevard lined with gardens and fancy shops, but Katherine was driving us nuts. She threw fits if we didn’t let her

push her empty stroller, but the avenue was crowded and she also threw fits when we tried to help her avoid running over people. (Toddlers like to do things independently. Even if it means crashing, a lot. It's their "nature." )
Our goal was to walk to the famous Tuileries Garden, but Katherine didn’t share our vision, and she often got side-tracked in smaller gardens along the way. She spent a lot of time chasing pigeons. She also had fun using a twig to pretend to write letters on a park bench. She was enjoying the little moments, but I was busy thinking, “You can chase pigeons anywhere! Please, please, please walk with us to Tuileries Garden.” When we finally reached Tuileries Garden, Katherine was very fussy, because although she had slept in until 11:00 a.m., she had not had an afternoon nap. David and I were trying to find a Metro stop, we could see it on the map, but we couldn’t find it in real life. Very frustrating. We finally found the Metro stop and caught a train to the Eiffel Tower. As we approached the Tower, Katherine fell asleep in her stroller. We took lots of pictures

Ouch! The Eiffel Tower just bumped David on the head!
and continued to walking towards it. Then we walked through it, passed it, and found another Metro Station so that we could head back to Disneyland.
Okay, so this is the worst travel blog ever. I wasn’t very adventurous in Paris, sorry. If you’re disappointed in me, you can go back and read my blogs from Rome. I was really good there. Not a single stop a MacDonald’s when we stayed in Rome.
We arrived back at Disneyland in time to eat dinner in the park at a Pizzeria. We saw more characters, but not Cinderella. Katherine remembered Cinderella’s promise and asked about her, but we never found her. We rode It’s a Small World and the Teacups again, took lots of pictures with characters (other than Cinderella), and then headed back to our hotel.
