Climbing the tower
Looking up from the second level. Thanks to everybody for their concern about my ankle. It's much better now and it's not stopping us from doing what we want. In France, they send you to the hospital for everything, because heath care is free over here of course. Really, all I needed was some ice and Advil.
Day 4
Tonight we made our way back to the Eiffel Tower and rode the elevator to the top. It was an amazing view of the city lit up at night, but the top level was incredibly crowded! Should have had something to eat before getting in line (eating often is going to be the key to our survival this year together).
Day 5
Off to Versailles today, but not away from the tourist crowds. It was a bit of an adventure getting there because the usual train to Versailles was shut down. Even more fun was getting lost in the city of Versailles after going for a "Quick" burger. We were so spoiled back home to have the mountains to keep our sense of direction. After making 3 wrong turns we were finally able to follow the maps posted at the bus stops back to the train
Eskimo colours
Half green, half gold for the Coupe du Monde de Rugby. station.
Of course, a trip to Paris would not be complete without climbing the Arc de Triomph at night - so that's what we did.
