The City of Love (and sneezes apparently)

Our stay in Paris began a little slowly. Both Keith and I have been pretty sick with colds since Brussels, but Monday was probably the worst of it. When we arrived in Paris early Monday morning, we walked to Notre Dame (which is very close to where we are staying), found some lunch, then headed back to the room to rest for the remainder of the day. The day of rest gave us enough energy to get out and see the Eiffel Tower, the Arch de Triomph, and many other sights both during the day and at night. Although I have pretty much lost my voice as of typing this, I am still able to converse (mini conversations, of course) with the natives due to my 2 years of French in high school! It is amazing how it just comes back to you! 😊

So far, Keith has sampled the wine (guess he had enough beer in Amsterdam and Belgium) and we have tried the crepes (or "creeps" as Keith calls them), local pizza, lots of fruit, and many pastries! The people here have been very helpful and patient with my broken French.

It is about time to head back to Notre Dame to actually see the inside, and to tour some of Paris' famous markets!
