Salut everyone
I am sure that everyone can guess where I am! This last night was my second in France and first in Paris. Last night was spent in a small town called Beyaux. Nice little town. Reason I stayed there was for the Normandy Beach tours that are run out of it. Really really enjoyed my tour. It was in a small 8 passenger van and it wasnt a dictated tour like i found the major tours to be. it was actually really neat. the tour itself was informative, depressing, and astounding. i felt all of those and many other emotions along the way.
while i am here now it was heck of an ordeal getting here. after killarney's the ring of kerry tour (it was nice butt this is the dictated tour i was talking about. they did everything but take your pictures for you) i jumped on a train trying to get to the southeastern part of ireland called rosslare europort. got about 1/3 or the way and had to change trains at a rinky dink place called limerick junction. to bad the train that i wanted wasnt comming until 9:50 the next morning. it was like 7:30 pm. so i found the only establishment around and rented a room at the bed and breakfast there. breakfast was really good and so was privacy and my own shower. caught the train to waterford where i was to catch another train to rosslare. to bad the next one wasnt due in for another 4 hours. i didnt want to wait so i bought a bus ticket and after picking up a copy of lord byron i was on my way again. finially get to rosslare and the europort. walk up to the counter and ask for when the next ferry to france is "4:00 tomorrow" it was like 5 o'clock in a town that there was nothing to do. found myselff yet another B&B and passed the time watching rugby and snooker. after waiting around the europort i was finially on board awaitinng an 18 hour trip!! i swear the irish got extremely skidish about anyway getting out of the country after the great potato famine when like 50% of their population migrated out of the country. it was quite an ordeal and retelling doesnt really even do justice to how much went wrong consecutively...but no harm no foul
well i am off to discover the city of love
adieu
