We awoke at around 8 I believe, and got ready to head out. We rode the metro to see the Arc de Triomphe. Our daughter wanted to see all the sights that she had seen 11 years before. After getting the photos, we walked down Avenue Kleber towards the Trocadero. We were on the lookout for a place to eat lunch, and found that in a place called Chez Zhong. We had a great meal, served by a very nice staff. It was then just a short walk down to the Trocadero for the Eiffel Tower photo ops. We did a leisurely walk down to the river bank, and across the bridge to the tower. Our daughter rode the carousel and took the same photo that she did 11 years before. The whole area around the tower sure had changed. Now one has to go through security screening before entering the grounds. It was quick and easy though. The lines were long to go up the tower, and none of us really wanted to wait. We had all been up before anyways. We left the tower and walked along the Seine until crossing the Pont Alexandre III bridge to visit the Petit Palais. Our daughter loves art, and while I am hit or miss with art, I did enjoy the hour or so in here. Just before dark, we hung out in a park nearby and had some street crepes. Finally, we rode the metro back up to our hotel, where we had the 5 Euro pizza again before calling it a night.
