Last full day for an outing and we found an absolutely super round trip for Kisbee.

Sun was out, sky was blue so we set of for St-Amand-de-Coly one of the designated plus beaux villages de France.

A tiny little place with a 13th century fortified abbey / church. Absolutely lovely. Lots of flowers, picturesque Dordogne buildings in lovely sandy stone.

The church is being restored not surprising that a building so old has had some serious wear and tear. The steps are 75% worn away, sloped and shiny. Just imagine the number of feet which have walked through that entrance.

We scootered next to Terrasson-Lavilledieu with a magic moment on the way. Spotted something in the grass on the edge of a woodland. A beautiful fawn which lifted its head as we slowed, eyeballed us then shot off into the trees.

Next stop the north side of the Vezere river at Terrasson. Was planning a Sunday light lunch and light it was indeed. Coffee as the only bar we spotted which was open was not serving food. In fact the proprieter popped out and came back with a Big Mac. After our 'lunch' we scootered over the river to the incredibly impressive old town. This has been superbly restored. All building frontages are Victorian period style. Lovely buildings and aspects.

We were waiting for 2pm for a visit to jardin de l'imaginaire. These gardens were architect designed in the late 20th century. Visits are all guided as the gardens would not be as meaningful without an explanation of the various 'rooms' and scenes. Started off very green but as we went from one area to another more flowers appeared until we came to the rather wonderful fountains. We had to walk through them so pleased it was a warm day. Quite delightful.

Our guide spoke in French but Bob had a written guide in English and the guide often stopped to give Bob his own special chat.

After the garden tour we finished lunch with an icecream then back to the campsite for a last swim. What a really lovely day out.
