Biarritz, France15 - 20 June 2011
15 June 2011 - It is our 13th wedding** anniversary today ….and we spent the special day travelling from Toulon (arriving via our overnight ferry from Ajaccio, Corsica) by train to Biarritz for approx. 8 ½ hours – very romantic.

**(It only seems like a little time ago but we were married NYC in 1998 with Kelly and Borrie as our witnesses)


We had great views from the train of some beautiful castles and churches in Toulouse and Carcassone.

We celebrated with the following special touches enjoying a homemade picnic lunch of Corsican ham with cheese = Le pain complet avec jambon et fromage, watching movies, reading French magazines (or trying to).

Arrived in Biarritz to our 4-star hotel on the beach at 9.30pm and hit the pillows. P.s the hotel was gorgeous

We enjoyed five great nights and days in Biarritz relaxing – it is a gorgeous spot – sort of a cross of Manly and Noosa beaches with great shopping including Hermes and lovely restaurants and bars. Not too touristy and not too pretentious or stitched up. Here are some pictures that Dave took (check out his beard’s WIP and new cap)
