Our trip this year has started a little differently in that Guy flew to England at the end of May to facilitate MOTs, license renewals, completion of body work on the MH and to make arrangements for the shipping of our MH to the USA when our trip is completed. Jan (I ) was very involved in the Bowerman family celebrations including her granddaughter Elisabeth's high school graduation, LAX team captain recognition, and honors awards. Grandson Zachary's band and choral concerts and his high honors awards in school and boy scout acheivements were also very exciting. I was also able to hostess Rob's mother, Muriel for some of the festivities. The Bowermans have also been enjoying a trip to Seattle to visit Rob's family.

All of this plus seeing my son and his children made for a very busy month, before I flew flew to join Guy and begin what may be our final MH trip in Europe.
Our ferry trip from Dover to Calais was uneventful and we are now enjoying bright sunshine in the Alsace region of France. On former trips we have photographed fields of brilliant yellow daffodils in England and sunflowers in Spain and now are awed by the gorgeous fields of stunningly red poppies. The abundant poppies and military cemeteries are a definite reminder of WW I and how France has fought her enemies.

Stay tuned as we begin this summer's adventure on our way to Croatia.
