Smiling with Luis
War of Independence Monument After a 6 hour train ride, picking up our car in Helsinki, then a 2 hour ferry ride, we arrived in Tallinn, Estonia. We stayed with couchsurfers again, and this time it was Luis and Maria. They are from Venezuela and moved to Estonia a couple years ago. They were very nice. We took a walk around the old part of Talinn with Luis and then met up with Maria. The old town looked like a village in a fairy tale, and I liked it a lot. The next day while they were working, daddy and I walked all over town.
I climbed all 258 steps of St. Olaf's church which at one time was the highest spire in the world. We saw an old KGB headquarters. We took a small choo choo train around the town. We also had an incredible lunch at a really cool restaurant. Daddy went to a wine cellar, and lucky for him, I fell asleep there.
At night, we went out to dinner with Mary, Luis and some of their friends who had a small boy that I played with. On the way we stopped by the place where the Obama of Estonia
lives. We played right outside his house, basically on the front lawn.
Unfortunately, we only had 2 nights in Tallinn, and it was time to move on to our next country......Latvia.
