Took a shuttle bus (more like a van) to Česky Krumlov. Had an embarrassing moment at the petrol station when I got stuck in the toilet (somehow I'm not surprised, it's such a typical thing for me to do).

The whole town is UNESCO protected and when we arrived, I realised why. It's such a small town, but it's beauty makes up for the lack of things to do. There was the Marian Plague Column in the town square, with the Church of St. Vitus just slightly off the square. We walked up to the castle but decided to leave that for tomorrow. We then made our way to Hotel Ruže where there was a very nice view of the town. We explored the main part of the town within two hours and sat in a cafe (anyone seeing a pattern here?) to pass time. I had a really nice chocolate cake.

We had dinner in a Gypsy restaurant called Cinkánská Jizba. I had fried cheese. Yummy, but definitely a no-no health wise.

It's a tradition for the castle to keep bears, which are said to have originated from Italy.
