Alice and I.
This is one saturday afternoon at a writing party at a cafe. Busyness not business consumes my life- busyness is quite the wonderful thing. The Fairfield Universtiy Glee Club visited Prague this weekend and luckily Denise and I were able to see them for a short period of time at this club called "Roxy". It wasn't really my cup of tea-the club- and yes, I drink tea now. Denise was able to get in contact with a girl from the glee club, which was somewhat difficult because they didn't have cell phones. It was monday night and we met them at this club, Roxy, at about 11:30pm. However, when we got off the metro, we saw some Fairfield people who were returning to their hotel. It was pretty strange but awesome to see FU people on the prague metro. Hugs were exchanged and it was so funny how excited people got in the club to see us. It boosted my self esteem to an 8 out of 42! The glee club didn't stay too long and Denise and I continued our dancing in the some filled club for a short period of time, retreating back to her apartment. I slept over her apartment on the pull out couch- which was like cushions on
the floor and I didn't realize you were supposed to pull out a wood part for underneath the cushions- but it was still very comfortable. Also, Denise allowed me to wear these really pretty pink pajamas which made me feel like a princess! The two of us had to work on a project on Franz Kafka's 'The Trial' and 'The Judgement'. We thought we would have to rush to finish this presentation, and after preparing it the whole night and next day, I realized that we weren't even supposed to present yesterday, but rather on Thursday.
I went to the Kafka museum by myself for class yesterday and it was really fascinating. I didn't have too much trouble finding the place and even drew myself a woman-made map which was accurate. The ticket cost 60 crowns and it was definitely worth it. I learned about Kafka's life, background and interesting facts like such as he used to be a dandy, he asked his friend to burn all of his manuscripts (the friend didn't luckily), and he didn't even want his work published at first. There was one section of the museum that was set up like an office with

my pull out bed comfy. all filing cabinets that seemed to be endless- to reflect the clostrophobic atmosphere from Kafka's 'The Trial'. The character's names were on the cabinets and it was just fantastic to be in this environment right after I had actually read his book.
Then last night, I ventured out to the last stop on reen metro and then the last bus stop after that- all the way by the airport- to see this really cool place. That sounds a little sketchy hahhhhh hooohhh. But I met up with some CIEE kids and we entered this little bar/performance space where it was open mic. After hanging out in the couch area for a little while, we entered the performance space where MADELINE AND LIZ WERE RECITING POETRY! I immediately dropped to the floor, opened my messenger bag, and got out my video camera and pressed record!

that is the link to the youtube video! Madeline and Liz recited poetry about their loves- Mark and Franta!Mark will be visiting Liz this spring break- and she is so excited! The rest of the night was filled with beautiful expressive artwork- some teachers performed and my friend Shelia also recited her
A cute park.
I came across a park while I was walking one day early for school. poetry which was amazing to hear, impressive, and fierce. You go girl.
So I have decided my plans for spring break- I knew waiting to decide where to go was the right choice. I really think it was a mixture of fate and feeling that is allowing me to go to Poland to visit Katherine! (my friend from high school! she goes to cooper union in the city, she is a funky lady, and her family just purchased an apartment in Poland which I will be seeing) I have to look up the train times and prices etc. but I am just so happy about this. I will probably go for the second half of spring break and the first half, maybe I will take a night trip somewhere that draws my attention. This blog is quite the unfinished piece of material because I have had absolutely noooo time for nothing if ya know what I'm saying. I love being busy. I think I am going to start a new blog right now! But wait- what else can I say?
Today, Sunday, is a medium day out- not sunny... not raining...I have to study/do lots of work/
Play that funky musack!
me dancing the night we saw the glee club. and today is monday- the sun is just going down although it was beautiful all day! We even had our czech class outside and got into groups of three to have contests where we would answer questions on small pieces of paper and then when we were done, we would run to get the next paper from our professor, this man named ludek. I think I may have spoke about him previously. He is cool. I then ate lunch at a place called "The Penguin Cafe" by our school with my Alice, Liz, Molly and MOlly's real mother, Kimmerly (With no "b"!) It was nice- we sat outside in the sun and I had a small salad and my bread and cheese that I had packed. The salad was 39 crowns. Then I had my directing class, which I don't like to complain about, but I don't care for the class for reasons I cannot disclose. No I'm just kidding. Then, I sat on a bench by overlooking the Charles Bridge and ate a banana! Not only was I excited to be siting in Prague on a beautiful day, but I enjoyed the banana so much!!!! Then I caught the
mad liz and beck.
no words necessary really. i love these two a lot. 17 tram back to Vyton, my school stop, walked up the enormous steps, and now I am in the computer lab, updating my blog and waiting for my history class to start at 5:00PM. I just sent my mother an email inviting her to a skype date with me tomorrow 10PM my time, 6PM her time.
Yesterday, Sunday, I was supposed to and really wanted to go to a sugar baking party at Shelia's but instead I stayed home and hung out with my host family which I also really wanted to do. Oh yeah, I attemped to exercise a little and put on my running sneakers and went down the block and up the stairs. I was actually going to go to Denise's apartment to pick up my purse, but I decided not to because we made the exchange in class this morning. Little did she know in my purse was my ultra-secret diary. I wonder if she read it. Ehhhh it wouldn't be that big of a deal- except the fact I reveal the true identity of her real father!!!!!!!! Dum Dum DUMMMMMM. So my host father and had lunch together at 2:00pm-ish. He cooked amazing hamburger

the artistic performance.
like thing that was so authentic and amazing especially with ketchup and then boiled potatoes that I put salt and tartar sauce on, and then mashed!!!! What pleasure!!!!!!!
THENNNN for dinner, they cooked carp (the fish) with more potatoes!!!!!!!!!! I love the food they cook me and try to eat it all. What I don't eat, I let the dog eat. My host father told me that when the dog, Freddy, was only about 3 years old, he used to roam the streets and wait at the locat restuarant where they would give him a plate of beer! I thought that was so funnayyyyy because he is a dogggggg and he shouldn't be drinking beeerrrrr!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Because he is a doggg and drinking beerrr!!! hahahahaha The dog really eats everything and sometimes I fear for it's life because once I gave him two pieces of my pork crust that were so crunchy I thought he would choke on the pieces. BUT he dadn't.
