Early morning Early morning Early morning

Coming to see this bridge has been a top goal since hearing it described during a classical music show.
I got up early this morning and took the subway to stop nearest Charles Bridge. I got there before the crowds and could take photos without waiting for people to move out of the way.

Prague is lovely and it lives up to its reputation. It is small and concentrated enough to be manageable. Many signs are in English and almost everyone in the service industry can, and seems happy to try to help in English. The waiter at Turkish restaurant looked online to confirm how many stops the tram would make before the castle.

The subway system is not overly complicated and there are really good signs to reassure you that you are heading in correct direction. When my train arrived in Prague yesterday, I found the information centre at the train station. Desk one is for tourists, and the young lady was quick to find my hotel and then print directions how to use the subway to get there. Ask for colours of the lines, that really helps. Then she pointed out where to buy a metro pass and I was set. And unlIke Vienna, you can buy a three day pass for a reasonable price. (In

I have uploaded 55 photos and made comments on most of them, so I shall end now. I want to change my shoes and head back to the old city, and maybe book an evening boat tour.
