After we checked out of our hostel this morning we went down to the harbour to find our boat. We checked in and put our luggage in our little cabin and set sail at 1pm. There were 28 people on our boat, 3 couples and 22 girls! 22 out of the 28 people are Australian so we are totally outnumbered! We set sail towards Hvar, stopping on the way in a little bay to jump off the boat and swim. The water was amazing, its so clear and blue and it sparkles like crystals. Once the captain got the all clear from the dock we were able to leave and sail around to Hvar.
Hvar had similar buildings and streets to in Split, but it was much less busy. We climbed up a mountain to a Spanish fortress which was built in the 16th centry. It had to be re-built because the one which used to be there got hit by a bolt of lightening which landed in the amunition room. After our walk we sat on the beach (not a usual sandy beach like we were used to but a beach made of pebbles) and watched the sunset while we ate dinner. That night we went out to a club in Hvar called Kiva which played really good music so we had a pretty fun night!
